Comments from Coach Holloman
First, I would like to say it’s great to be home! I’m extremely appreciative for being selected as SPHS Head football coach. I want to thank Dr. Conner, Coach Hare, the entire selection committee, Superintendent Cook, and the Board for giving me this opportunity. It’s truly an honor and privilege.
I feel like God has led me to this point in my career where I’m able to come back to SPHS and lead a program where I got my foundation academically and athletically. I’m very excited about the opportunity to lead our Football team and develop young men to be positive, productive, and successful individuals both at SPHS and after they graduate. I strongly believe football prepares young men for life. I believe high school coaches are very instrumental in teaching student athletes different skills that help them beyond high school. I am committed to focusing on the entire student-athlete. Supporting our players in the classroom first, maximizing and developing their ability on the field, instilling high character values and being engaged in the community are my priorities as Head Coach.
As a former SP student athlete, I have positive and supportive relationships with many teachers who taught me and coaches who were on staff when I played here. As SP alumni, I truly understand the traditions and history of our school. I believe these variables will make my transition smooth and help me continue that winning tradition.
