The Lady Stallions Varsity Soccer team hosted a non region match against Fort Mill Thursday night. The Yellow Jackets came out strong, scoring early and leading South Pointe by two goals at half time.

The Lady Stallions pressed hard in the second half, and the defense, lead by Co-Captains
senior Ashley King and junior Hannah Austin, allowed only one goal by Fort Mill. Senior goalkeeper, Grace Lockamy, recorded six saves.

Late in the second half, a free kick was called for the Lady Stallions, and junior Ava Robitaille put it in the back of the net, bringing the score to 1-3, which would be the final result.

Despite the loss, it was a great showing for South Pointe against a seasoned Fort Mill side.

The Lady Stallions will travel to Catawba Ridge for their first region game on Friday, March 12th.

Let’s go, Lady Stallions!!
