The Lady Stallions Varsity Soccer team made their mark in the school record book tonight as they beat Wren 3-1 to advance to the 3rd round of playoff action for the first time in the program’s history.

In what would prove to be a tough battle in the first half, Junior Zoe Kennedy broke down the Hurricanes’ defense to put the Lady Stallions up 1-0 at halftime. Wren battled back in the second half, forcing five saves by South Pointe keeper, Senior Caroline Reeves. Kennedy would find the back of the net a second time, recording a brace for the night. Freshman Ava Robitaille would add a third goal for the Lady Stallions, and although a goal was conceded in the final moments, the Lady Stallions took the 3-1 win and will move on to the the third round of the tournament.

Come out to support your Lady Stallions as they host AC Flora Friday night in a battle for the Upper State Championship and a shot at the state title. Great job, Lady Stallions!
